As I moved to Dallas a few years ago and had no friends/family/network at all, I did every job imaginable that involved photography to keep me going until my name got established enough to be on my own. One of them was the Santa set where I had met Lisa, Allison, and Clayton – aka The Grubas. Even though I don’t have the time to work on the Santa set anymore, I was so happy to reunite with them after so long when Lisa called me about the surprise proposal Roger had planned for Allison.
They had been together forever and Roger was going to pop the questions at Lisa’s birthday dinner with their family and friends. I was ready to meet them there and pretend I was there only for the birthday dinner.
PLOT TWIST: Roger couldn’t wait for the dinner to ask Allison to marry him and ended up tying the ring to Addie’s collar when he took them out for a walk. We ended up moving our session to the next day. LOL!

As the sun started to set, the light got softer and with some clouds forming in the sky – we literally had the perfect engagement session weather!
