It’s always refreshing to travel for weddings. This summer one of my stops was Houston/Tomball, The Ashelynn Manor. Situated near Houston, Ashelynn Manor provides both indoor and outdoor ceremony options, a spacious reception area and a great variety of backdrops for portraits.
Kate and James found me online and got in touch me about their June wedding. It was an instant connection over the phone and they handled ALL my bad jokes pretty well (LOL!)
You’ll remember them from “the mirror photo”

Although it is said to be the Houston area is VERY hot and humid most of the year, the weather was pretty forgiving during their mid-June wedding day!
We started their day with details and getting ready.

Kate and James wanted to do a first look before their ceremony and it was probably

James’ reaction was one of the best groom reactions ever! We may have cried a little behind the camera as it was also a very emotional moment for both of them. You could feel the love and excitement in the air!

After the first look, we continued with some portraits of the two of them. Aren’t they adorable!?

You could see how much fun they had during their first dance!

And probably this is my favorite part of a wedding day: the sunset portraits. It’s just the perfect combination of the light and the newlywed’s private moment to soak in the entire day.

And finally the party!

We absolutely loved being part of Kate and James’ wedding day. Every moment was full of joy and laughter and it could not have been more perfect.
Kate, James – THANK YOU!! for allowing us, Tara Arseven Photography to be there to document and create your very first family heirlooms. We look forward to seeing what more life has to bring for you! <3
