I’ve met Allison years ago when I first moved to Dallas and I was thrilled when she asked me to be their photographer for their intimate home wedding last year. 2020 had different plans on the books, so Allison and Roger had to navigate through it all, changing their “big celebration” into the most beautiful intimate home elopement.

They downsized their guest count and said their “I do” at their first home together.

As those intimate backyard weddings are growing on me more and more every time, the “close knit friends” are the best group to celebrate marriage!

As the sun was setting FAST, right after their ceremony, I grabbed our newlyweds along with their wedding party to the nearest field I had looked up the night before on Google map.

Being a wedding photographer, you often have to “improvise” with whatever the day throws at you. As I have never been to Allison and Roger’s house, I didn’t know the neighborhood at all. I just hoped this field I randomly found on the maps was still there…

And guys… IT WAS WORTH IT!

The sunset’s direction was perfect, the fall colours was in full display…

I’m so happy I got to give you two beautiful memories to cherish, Allison and Roger. I can’t wait to be there with you on the BIG wedding next year!
ALLISON AND ROGER ARE MARRIED Y’ALL!
