Meet Louis and Eric
Louis and Eric are a remarkable couple, each bringing unique qualities and experiences to their relationship. Louis is described as kind and personable, while Eric is known for being smart and romantic. Their shared love for travel and adventure has taken them to many exciting places, and they’ve tasted some unusual foods along the way—like Louis’s “Pigeon on a Stick” in China and Eric’s haggis in Scotland. They share a common dream of exploring the world, with Australia, New Zealand, and Japan topping their bucket list destinations.
Favorite Films and Furkids
When it comes to movies, Louis and Eric have diverse tastes. Louis enjoys romantic comedies like Love Actually and Bridesmaids, while Eric prefers epic narratives and dramas such as Dune and August: Osage County. Their furry family members, dog Ashton and cats Mina and Feta, add even more joy to their lives. Ashton was Louis’s companion, Mina was Eric’s, and Feta found her way to both of them, making their family complete.
Interesting Tidbits
Did you know Louis once lived in the same house as Mark Wahlberg in Boston? Or that Eric has graced the cover of an airline magazine? These fun facts highlight the unique and interesting lives they’ve led separately and now together.
The Big Day
Preparation and Ceremony
Louis and Eric’s wedding day began at the luxurious JW Marriott Dallas, where they prepared for their special moments. The ceremony took place at the CR Smith Museum, an American Airlines museum in Fort Worth, adding a unique touch to their semi-religious ceremony, which included elements of a Jewish wedding tradition.
The couple saw each other before the ceremony, ensuring all family photos were taken ahead of time. This decision reflected their thoughtful planning and desire to enjoy every moment of their celebration.
Reception Celebration
The reception was also held at the CR Smith Museum, kicking off at 7:45 PM. Guests were treated to a well-orchestrated evening with a flow that included the introduction of the wedding party, the grooms’ grand entrance, their first dance, and heartfelt welcomes from both Louis and Eric. Dinner was followed by special dances, cake cutting, toasts, and an open dance floor for all to enjoy.
Unique Touches and Special Moments
Louis and Eric planned several unique touches for their wedding day. From photos with a large plane in the museum’s hangar to a potential photo session at the DFW Airport Overlook, they ensured their love of travel was reflected in their celebration.
For their formal exit, the couple chose light-up foam glow sticks and a getaway car, providing a fun and memorable send-off. They also considered flashy night photos during the reception, adding another layer of glamour to their special day.
Vendors and Final Touches
Louis and Eric carefully selected vendors to bring their wedding vision to life. From Grand Slam Glam for makeup and hair to All the Right Grooves with DJ Little Betty for music, every detail was meticulously planned. Their wedding attire from Indochino and The Black Tux ensured they looked their best as they said their vows.
The Venue
The CR Smith Museum, located in Fort Worth, Texas, is an aviation museum dedicated to preserving and showcasing the history of American Airlines. Named after Cyrus Rowlett Smith, a pioneering aviation executive, the museum features a range of exhibits, including vintage aircraft and interactive displays that highlight the evolution of commercial aviation. On April 4, 2024, this unique venue served as the perfect backdrop for Louis and Eric’s wedding. The ceremony and reception were held amidst the museum’s fascinating exhibits, providing a distinctive and memorable setting for their special day. Guests enjoyed a seamless blend of aviation history and wedding celebration, creating an unforgettable experience.
A Journey of Love and Adventure
Louis and Eric’s wedding was more than just a celebration of their love; it was a testament to their shared journey and the adventures they’ve embraced together. As they start this new chapter, their friends and family will always remember the union of two incredible people whose love story is as unique and inspiring as they are.
