I'M Taylor Vaughn (He/Him/His)

Pilot, horror movie buff, film nerd, lover of music. What more is there to say about me? I fell into the wedding industry headfirst over seven years ago and never looked back. I was shooting drone footage of wedding venues in 2016 for a company when they asked me if I wanted to film an entire wedding day, so I picked up a camera and dove on in!

I live in Highland Village, TX, with my lovely wife Brittany, our Dog Juno, and our Cat Whiskey. Recently, we’ve added a lot of plants to our little family.

In my off time, you can find me trying new recipes, making BBQ or Sourdough bread, or sitting down to play story-driven games.

If you’d asked me ten years ago where I thought I would be, I don’t know if I could tell you. I attended school for audio engineering while playing piano, cello, and guitar while trying to balance a social life. I’ve always loved taking pictures and videos to document my life, and I never thought that could lead me to where I am now.

We will get along great if you like board games, Horror movies, or Taylor Swift! I love every couple that I get to work with, and I can find something in common to talk about with just about anyone. I look forward to speaking with you and getting to know you!

Taylor has a ninja-like talent for discretely mic'ing up couples, officiants, family members, and more to ensure every giggle, vow, and speech comes through loud and crystal clear in the final film. Noline will be missed!

While he can certainly provide longer-form films, Taylor's bread and butter is crafting cinematic 5-10 minute trailer-esque reels that brilliantly capture the full story arc of your day through the most meaningful, emotional moments.

Absolutely! Taylor is all about close collaboration to understand your vision. Providing a shot list of key moments will ensure he has them covered, though he'll also be keeping his keen eye peeled for unscripted magic.

What makes working with Taylor an awesome experience?

Beyond his crazy talent, Taylor has the most fun, laid-back personality that instantly puts people at ease. He blends in seamlessly while still managing to hype up the party! Expect lots of laughs and good vibes. Not to mention, we make a great team! We worked so many weddings and events together - at this point, we don't even have to verbally communicate to understand each other. Simply throwing a look across the room and gesturing is enough!

Does Taylor incorporate any special videography techniques?

You bet! Taylor loves artfully incorporating elements like aerial drone shots for breathtaking scenery, cinematic color grading for a film-like feel, and dramatic slow motion to amplify emotional impact.

How far in advance should we book Taylor?

With his skills in such high demand, I'd recommend reaching out 9-12 months prior to your date to lock him in - at the time of booking with me. Taylor doesn't exclusively work for me (he does give my couples priority when booking), and I'd want to make sure you get the perfect photo/video team for your celebration. However, Taylor has impressed me by pulling off last-minute video magic with just 2 months' notice for some spontaneous lovebirds!

What are Taylor's videos like in terms of editing style?

Taylor is a master storyteller, thoughtfully pacing and transitioning each scene while layering in your vows, speeches, favorite songs and other audio in a way that immerses you fully in the cinematic experience.

Can Taylor capture any non-wedding events/sessions?

For sure! While weddings are his specialty, Taylor's talents extend to filming engagement sessions, proposals, anniversary shoots, you name it. If it's a meaningful life moment, he'll give it the epic cinematic treatment.
