How beautiful is this engagement session with Lynn and Jake?! As your Dallas wedding and engagement photographer, it is my job to give you the absolute best engagement session experience and nothing else. The locations and lighting were perfect for the shoot on this day in Dallas. I am so grateful that Lynn and Jake chose me to document this special time for them. Congratulations, Lynn and Jake.
As a wedding and engagement photographer, I’ve been opportune to meet amazing people. This amazing couple, Lynn and Jake, met in NYC through mutual friends. They were on separate trips and just happened to both be there at the same time. Both their friends wanted to get lunch together. But they all ended up spending the entire day together just walking around, eating pizza, checking out the museum before ending the night at the Brooklyn Bridge.
On their first date, they went to grab some bubble tea at Javaland! Lynn said she was very nervous, but they ended up having a great time and even having their first kiss on the bench while exploring at the UT Dallas Campus. Of course we had to visit “the bench” during their engagement session – you’ll see as you scroll down! 🙂
For their engagement, Jake surprised Lynn with a trip to Hawaii, where he managed to get sunrise reservations at the peak of Haleakalā. Way to sweep a girl off her feet, Jake! Jake took Lynn to a less crowded area so they could watch the beautiful sunrise together. The clouds were gorgeous, and the colors were vibrant and beautiful; they started taking selfies together until Jake suddenly started recording instead of taking photos. Now here’s where the big one happens! I’m excited to share it with you. Lynn began to pretending to vlog, and then when she looked over at him, the ring was right there!
Sometimes the simplest of things matter! It wasn’t the biggest of surprises, but Lynn and Jake were doing something they both love, and really, that’s all that matters. The love, the appreciation, the adoration, and the warmth you feel for the one you love make even the smallest things look big.
Lynn is honestly just excited to be getting hitched with the man she loves and having a good time while at it! And me? I’m more than excited to be documenting such a fantastic moment with these two amazing lovebirds.
For the sessions, Lynn and Jake were super nervous. But hey! Trust me when I say I’m able to make the whole thing more than awesome. The experience always turns out to be fun and relaxing. Like I always say, you can think of me as a third wheel while you’re on this beautiful date. My job is to make sure the memories last forever.
Thank you, Lynn and Jake, for letting me be your engagement photographer, and once more, congratulations on your wedding. I hope to see you again!

[…] We talked with Sanjay for almost a good hour – he told me he was ready to book with me at the end of our first phone call – and the same night he completed his booking. If you know, you know – I NEVER book a wedding without meeting the couple first but this one I had a feeling they were the perfect fit. And I wasn’t wrong! I met with Shravani and Akash the following week – we were already giggling and joking 10 minutes into our meeting while planning their engagement session. […]
[…] My dear friendor, and wedding planner, Shay, introduced me to Emily and Andrew while they were still planning their celebration. Emily had told Shay how camera shy they were and how they wanted to find a photographer to make them feel comfortable in front of the camera and blend in. After a LONG phone call, we all agreed that we were the perfect fit for each other, proceeded with the booking, and met in person during their engagement session. […]
[…] told me she wanted their engagement session to be as personal as it could be. She asked if we could do the session close to her home in Ennis. […]
