I am so darn excited to FINALLY get our engagement session in with Mai and Kent last week. Mai had found me online while searching for a Dallas couples’ photographer (in which, I turned into their engagement photographer – but I’ll come to that in a little bit haha!). Then life happened and we had to reschedule multiple times.

After all the hiccups, we finally got together last week and had an amazing session together!

Mai originally had booked me to a couples’ session with her “boyfriend” Kent as a birthday present for herself. We talked over the phone, went over all the details and we had an instant connection. We were a perfect fit!

Little did she know, her family was going to surprise her for her birthday, so we did our first rescheduling.

After a few weeks, something came up with work, and we had to reschedule their engagement session again.

Next time, I had a sore throat and being super intense with all the covid cases, I told Mai I need to reschedule and don’t want to take a risk. I had taken a test but the results were still not in on the day of the session, so we rescheduled, AGAIN. (But hey, better safe than sorry! I can never imagine being irresponsible and possibly causing harm to people I love!) The test came back negative (whew!) so it was a green light.

This time, Mai and Kent were working long hours… So we pushed it for another week…

In the meanwhile, Kent PROPOSED to Mai with the sweetest surprise EVER! So their couples’ session officially turned into their engagement session hah!!! (Blind me with your ring gurrrlllll!!)

I often get camera-shy clients, and that’s totally OK. I love the challenge and telling my couples “I bet I’m going to make you LOVE taking photos from now on!” 😉 Kent wasn’t sure – he smiled but then once we “started the session” and I popped my dad-jokes one after the other… It was all giggles and fun.

…and lots of romance…

Then we moved to White Rock lake. While it was all nice and sunny for the first portion of their session, it all got dark and cloudy suddenly…

But you know my luck – we got that GORGEOUS golden light right before the sunset. It was EVERYTHING!!! 😉

Mai and Kent… I absolutely loved every second of our session, and I really hope to see you guys sometime soon – or later – in 2022 *wink wink* see what I did there?
I wish you two all the best – and a life full of laughter, love, health, wealth and so much joy!
MAI AND KENT ARE ENGAGED Y’ALL!!!!
