I am so excited to share this engagement session y’all!
Meet Lance and Lance. Yes, you did not read that wrong – they have the same name, which can sometimes be confusing. But how cool is that? I had never met a couple that shared the same name before, and when they get married next April, I hope they decide to share the same last name too! Imagine when they travel. I’m sure there will be some double looks at the check-in counter. Quirky!
They are super fun, down-to-earth souls who are totally in love. Their chemistry was so apparent during their engagement session; you can see it from the photos. We met in Deep Ellum for their engagement shoot, and I got to know this stylish duo a little closer.
Neither were single when they first met, but some time passed, and they started to talk on Instagram when they were both single again. They met up for pizza and drinks on Christmas and instantly hit it off.
The proposal was epic. Lance P turned their favorite hangout, The Local Oak, into a romantic candlelit scene. Arriving there for a drink Lance S had no idea what was about to happen. After some beverages, when the moment felt perfect, Lance P popped the question, and Lance S said, “absolutely yes”! Then a bunch of friends arrived to celebrate the night away.
During their engagement session, we may have laughed a little too much! Sorry, not sorry! They were chatting, smiling, and laughing throughout the entire session while looking all so smokin’ hot and photogenic! We had gorgeous late afternoon light wandering around the streets of downtown Deep Ellum in Texas. The backdrops in this neighborhood are a mix of urban cityscapes, alleys full of murals, and a splattering of funky spots like this wall with the word LOVE on it that someone kindly made just for me (not really, but it felt like it from the moment I discovered it).
Now they are planning an intimate wedding in Austin with a focus on the party. I’m super hyped about everything with their wedding! Hoping their mini longhaired dachshund puppy, Wilson might come along too.
Lovebirds, I’m so happy you found me and I get to celebrate your marriage while documenting the day unfold. I can’t wait to see you two again sometime soon!
