An Unforgettable Granada Theater Wedding
As a Dallas wedding photographer, I was honored to capture Lauren and Kevin’s unforgettable Granada Theater wedding celebration. On May 25, 2024, this fun-loving couple said “I do” at the historic theater in Dallas, TX.
The Granada’s Glamorous History
Lauren and Kevin’s ceremony took center stage as the sun began to set over the iconic Granada Theater. Opening in 1946, the Granada Theater is an iconic movie palace turned concert venue. Known for its Art Deco charm and rich musical heritage, provided the perfect backdrop for their unforgettable celebration. The Granada’s versatile space seamlessly transformed from a ceremony site to a reception wonderland, showcasing why it’s a top choice for couples looking for a unique Dallas wedding experience.

Their attention to detail ensured that every moment was picture-perfect, from the emotional first look to the last dance. The floral arrangements by Lizzie Bee’s Flower Shoppe added a touch of natural beauty to the urban venue, creating a romantic atmosphere that perfectly complemented Lauren and Kevin’s vision. Each arrangement was a work of art, from the bridal bouquet to the centerpieces.
A Wildflower Romance
Lauren and Kevin’s Irish elopement inspired their wedding’s whimsical, wildflower aesthetic with pops of emerald green. DIY details like a vinyl record seating chart and oversized photo prints gave the night a personalized touch.
A Fog-Filled “I Do” Moment
The ceremony unfolded with its own bit of rock star flair when the fog machine unexpectedly fired up, almost causing the couple to burst out laughing! Kevin rolled with the punches after a minor wardrobe malfunction forced him into a back-up suit. Their cool, calm demeanors showed their readiness to embrace whatever the day brought.
Newlywed Portraits at the Granada
After they joyfully exchanged vows, we explored the Granada’s historic nooks and crannies for newlywed portraits at the Granada. The art deco details and atmospheric lighting made for an incredibly romantic indoor and outdoor backdrop.
A Night to Remember
At the reception, thoughtful DIY details like a vinyl record seating chart and oversized photo print of their corgi gave the night a personalized, on-brand touch. The wildflower, emerald green color palette paid tribute to the couple’s Irish elopement earlier in the year.
Lauren and Kevin’s sweet tooth was well catered to, with a stunning cake from Tilly Mama’s taking center stage. But the dessert surprises didn’t stop there! Sweet Firefly provided a delightful ice cream bar, adding a fun and refreshing twist to the traditional wedding dessert spread. It’s these unique touches that really make a wedding memorable for both the couple and their guests.
As the night progressed, Havoc Entertainment packed the dance floor with their expertly curated playlist. The energy was electric, with guests of all ages showing off their best moves. Remember, for future brides and grooms, a great DJ can really make or break your reception vibe!
As the evening drew to a close, Lauren and Kevin held each other close for one final romantic twirl during their private last dance. You could feel the love and excitement for their new chapter as a married couple.
The couple’s biggest advice? “Plan things one step at a time, don’t stress over hiccups, and be present for every moment – because the day truly does fly by in a blink.”
