Today I have a very special blog for y’all! Yes, I do specialize in weddings and portraits – but my portraits also include newborn lifestyle sessions and family photography!
When I first moved back to The States, Hannah and Luke were one of my very first clients to book me for their wedding. Today, I still joke about how “brave” they were to book me – a gal that moved here out of nowhere and had literally no name in the area!
We celebrated them with the most beautiful Texan wedding at The Rusty Barn At The Ranch. It was my very first “Texan” wedding – and I got to experience it all with cornhole, two-steppin’ and a lot of Shiner.
Today, they’re proud parents to this beautiful baby boy, Knox.
Hannah reached out to me earlier this year with the big news and asked if I could do their maternity photos.
As mid-June in Texas could be SO HOT, we decided to do a sunrise session. I’m glad we did! It was the day of “that stormy Sunday in Dallas” when the wind blew so hard and knocked over a crane in a building.
Last week Hannah gave me the great news that little Knox couldn’t wait any longer and had joined us on planet Earth!
I arrived at their home on Friday to do their newborn session. There I met Baby Mara for the first time. He was sleeping in peace. His little nose, tiny ears…
I may have gotten a little emotional doing this session. Hannah and Luke and their families have a very special place in my heart as they have helped me A LOT during my journey to get established. They always have been rooting for my success and if it wasn’t for them, it’d probably taken a little longer for me to be where I am today.
“So this is how it feels like when two people you have emotional ties with have a baby!” I said.
Little Mara lifted his head and looked right at me. My heart was about to explode from all the love! (and right after that, he finally burped! LOL!)
I think this is the absolute definition of “milk drunk” LOL! After eating SO MUCH, little Knox passed out!
I’m so happy for you Hannah and Luke! Little Knox is perfect and it’s my honor that you guys keep me around to witness more of your milestones! I can’t wait to see Knox’s growth and what more life holds for him! <3
Welcome to the world, Knox! <3
