Lindsay and Bob’s Fusion Wedding

When I first met Bob and Lindsay, I was immediately thrilled at the opportunity to shoot such a colorful, culture-filled Indian wedding. Since moving to here in 2014, this was going to be my very first Sikh wedding as a wedding photographer Dallas. I was thrilled at the chance to join and document such celebration.

Their Sikh wedding ceremony in Richardson, TX was a culmination of wedding festivities that began on Thursday night. Though I didn’t understand the prayers or some of the customs, I found everybody from family and friends to the priests to be ultra inviting. I felt like I was part of their Gurdwara from the moment I walked through the door.

What surprised me most during the day was Bob. I already knew Bob and Lindsay were music people — they met in choir at Coppell High School. But when Bob started dancing at the Baraat, I saw a new, vibrant side to his quiet personality! Bob and Lindsay even came together for a flash mob, where they cut their first dance to dance for their family and friends, Bollywood style.

All in all, I am so grateful for the opportunity to participate in such a beautiful show of love. I wish them much enjoyment in their married life! <3
