Not long ago, Johnathan got in touch with me about the surprise uptown proposal he was planning for his girlfriend. He found me thru his friend Alexander, whom I also photographed his proposal a few months ago.
He wanted to propose to Kristin at the Lakeside Park, where they spent some time together on their first date.
We met with Johnathan ahead of time so we can scout the location and plan everything ahead of time. It was going to be beautiful!
When they arrived at the location – because of the number of people around – I had to stay closer. I pretended I was there waiting for someone else, kind of looking at my phone – right next to them. We came eye to eye with Kristin, I greeted them with my head and a casual “hey” and kept walking past them. Whew! Then within seconds, I had to run down towards my car so I can grab the actual moment of their uptown proposal!
She finally realized, they were not alone and we were watching them that entire time! Hehe!
Of course, at some point, I had to get closer and closer and closer… To get some close-up shots! 🙂
It was our lucky day! Despite the rain-on/rain-off weather, we had that week – the sun was perfectly shining thru the trees.
