W Hotel Victory Wedding

dALLAS, TX

Epic . Romantic . artistic

Oh! Are you looking for a wedding photographer, and you ended up here? PERFECT! All my highlight galleries include information on how many hours the couple booked, where they had their wedding, what cultural traditions and religious customs were part of their day, and how their day unfolded.

Danielle and Scott got married in May, so the weather was perfect for a wedding. It was a little windy at times, but hey - we'd much rather that than 100 something Texas summer heats!

The venues

Danielle and Scott booked the Altitude at W Hotel Victory for their reception, and they also decided to get ready there. While Danielle got ready at a room upstairs, Scott got prepared in one of the conference rooms on the first floor. From a photographer's perspective, I'd say both rooms had pretty good natural light, and I didn't have to set up any additional flashes.

Their ceremony took place at St. Patrick Catholic Church, and compared to most Catholic churches I have photographed weddings at; their restrictions were not that bad. My team and I were able to get photos from various angles from the outer corners without worrying about distracting or interrupting the ceremony.

The Altitude is one of the most accessible venues to photograph. The white ceilings and light color walls allow us to have an effortless light setup and still get excellent results. The mirror wall right behind the cake table was also one of my favorite features - I don't remember taking that many cake/desert photos at a wedding, but the tiny mirrors added such a sweet touch; I took a bunch, haha!

The vendors

The vendor team for this wedding was pretty dope! Their planner was Robyne with Southern Affairs Weddings and Events - not only did she do a fantastic job with the entire day, but she was a fantastic communicator. We communicated about the photography timeline, and everything was smooth on the day of - despite all the traveling and location changes involved.

The very talented Melisa J. and her team did make-up and hair. I can't stress enough how important it is to have a good HMUA team that will give you a look that will last all day - Melisa's work lasted all day and night!

The florals are from Haute Floral - and Kristin does not only have the freshest and top quality flowers, but she's a badass designer that can bring any of your flower fantasies to life. Seriously! The amount of energy she pours into her art is insane, and it shows!

The linens are from BBJ Linens, and the dinnerware is from POSH Couture Rentals. To complete the look, Danielle picked her stationery from Champagne Press which included the invitations, RSVP cards, details, welcome sign, menu, and place cards. The delicious cake is from Elena's Cake (and trust me, we get to eat A LOT of wedding cake, haha! I may know a thing or two!) while the donuts are from Hypnotic Donuts.

The portraits

For their portraits, Danielle and Scott wanted to stop at a few locations on our way from the church back to W Hotel. We took photos at White Rock Lake, as well as the arts district.

For their golden hour photos, we used the helicopter pad of the W Hotel which was an amazing experience.

Their booking details

Danielle and Scott booked Collection III which includes 8 hours of wedding day coverage, a complimentary photography timeline consultation, and all culled and artistically edited images delivered via a password-protected online gallery with personal use and print permit. With the amount of traveling involved between getting ready, church ceremony, portraits, and the reception on their day, they also added three additional hours for a more relaxed timeline. If your wedding day takes place at more than one location, I highly recommend adding extra hours accordingly if you'll be choosing Collection III - and of course, I will help you determine how many hours would be necessary depending on how many locations and distance of each site. Finally, they added an engagement session to their booking. An engagement session is a great way to break the ice with my cameras (I mean, I know I'm super easy-going and chill - but my cameras often scare camera-shy folks away, hehe). You'll get beautiful photographs you can use for your "save the date cards" as well as display on your wedding day at your church and reception hall. I offer high-quality prints through my galleries as well as guest signing books and canvases.

Let's connect!

The easiest and (most reliable) way to contact me is through my contact form. As I'm always on the go, I'm not always able to answer my phone. Besides, I get a poop ton of spam calls.

I wouldn't want you to get all mixed up in those! :)
