Coffee House Engagement Session

Michelle and Ian are tying the knot this November at the Avalon Legacy Ranch in McKinney and I’m so flippin’ excited to be part of their celebration!

When Michelle first contacted me while searching for a Dallas wedding photographer, we had the immediate connection over the phone. Within the first 10 minutes, we were already joking and giggling while getting to know each other. It really wasn’t like a “business phone call”.

While Ian used to travel A LOT (I mean… A LOT!!!) for work, we somehow managed to get a date night on the books and went to have Korean BBQ to spend some quality time together, get to know each other better – all while sharing some amazing food.

Seriously, if you haven’t had Korean BBQ before – I URGE YOU to go tomorrow. Make sure to go with an empty stomach because that “all you can eat” meat ain’t gonna finish itself lol!

The following few months we had to reschedule their engagement session a few times due to travels again – but FINALLY, Ian is here for good! And we FINALLY got their engagement session in! WHEW!

We started their session at their favorite coffee shop, Filtered, in Downtown McKinney. This wasn’t just “any” coffee shop – but was the place where they had their very first date.

Then we continued their session around downtown McKinney.

The best part of engagement sessions are you not only get to reintroduce yourself to your clients with your camera, but you also get a chance to see their chemistry together. We really can’t deny the sparks of love and joy coming out of them!

Of course, just like all my other couples, Michelle and Ian also claimed they were so awkward in front of the camera and that they didn’t know what to do… I can say – they ROCKED their session and I really can’t wait for their wedding day!
